A Network consists of hospitals with differing types of Neonatal
Units. The purpose of each Network is to
ensure that mothers and babies receive their care within their
local Network and as close to home as possible.
The South West London Neonatal Network is made up of 5 neonatal
units, based at:
- St George's Hospital (providing Level 3
care)
- St Helier Hospital (providing Level 2
care)
- Kingston Hospital (providing Level 2
care)
- Mayday University Hospital (providing Level 2
care)
- Epsom General Hospital Neonatal Unit (providing Level 1
care)
Each unit has been designated to provide different levels of
care i.e. Level 1 units provide Special Care, Level 2 units provide
High Dependency Care and limited Intensive Care and Level 3 units
provide the full range of Intensive Care.
