The aim of the South West
London Perinatal Network is to improve the standard of neonatal
care across the sector .
Each Neonatal Unit within the Network has been designated to
provide different levels of care. Some Units only provide Special
Care (Level 1), most provide High Dependancy and limited Intensive
Care (Level 2)and some the full range of Intensive Care (level 3).
Some Level 3 Units also provide neonatal surgery and other
specialised services eg. cardiac.
The population served by the South West London Perinatal Network
(SWLPN) is approximately 1.3 million and is defined as the
residents of the Health Authorities of Croydon, Kingston, Richmond
& Twickenham, Sutton & Merton and Wandsworth.
In 2004/5, approximately 18,000 babies were born in South West
London, of which approximately 1,400 babies were admitted to a
Neonatal Unit.
Parents Questionnaire
South West London Perinatal Network have produced a Parents
Questionnaire to help improve the care and services provided to
babies and parents.

Parent Information Booklet
When your
baby is admitted to a Unit within the South West London Network you
will receive a Parent Information Booklet which will provide you
with invaluable information to help you throughout your babies
