Delivering Family-Centred Care: Effective Interventions For Communication, Information And Support
The new series of Bliss study days for 2010 will aim to provide guidance for delivering family-centred care on neonatal units. The days will offer health professionals insights, information and guidance to help them deliver effective support to parents throughout their journey on the neonatal unit. Speakers from a range of disciplines will discuss the importance of working in partnership with parents and offer practical approaches to making this a reality. The day will include information on:

  • Cultural support aspects of family-centred care
  • Breastfeeding support for mothers on neonatal units
  • Kangaroo Care and other interventions to promote parent infant interactions
  • Multi-disciplinary approach to discharge planning

Cost:
£60 for nurses and AHPs
£110 for doctors
£15 discount for early-bird bookings before Friday 4 December
