Nursery Nurse HCA Education Project

City University have been asked to set up a CPD project for nursery nurses and HCAs and they have just gained approval to run a short course in Neonatal Basic Skills.

The suggested programme will be:

• To attend the 2 day short course 'Neonatal Care Basic Skills Training:NMS094' - to include training on various practical skills.  This will hopefully run on 25th and 26th August (tbc).  To view further information on this course please click here.
• To attend the 'Neonatal Resuscitation Study Day: NMS031' - To take place in either May or August.  This would be a 1 day short course to include assessment and recognitio of the sick neonate.  To view further information on this course please click here.
• To work towards a Competency Booklet.
• To attend the Special Care/HD module NM3245 when a place becomes available - hopefully October 2010 or May 2011 - either as attendance only OR with full assessment (portfolio and reflection) to gain 15 Level 3 credits.
